The Story
Bounds Green Food Bank is fighting to stay open. We provide food, care, and dignity to over 4,600 people, including 1,400 children, right here in our local community. But due to a fall in funding and the rising cost of essentials, we’re struggling to meet the growing need of our guests.
It costs us over £6,300 every month to keep our shelves stocked and our doors open, but we’re only receiving around £2,400 in donations. At this rate we can only stay open until May 2026.
You can help change that:
* £5 a week supports families with balanced meals, including fresh vegetables, bread and staples
* £10 a week fills the gaps and buys items we can’t always source through donations, like cooking oil, cleaning products and coffee
* £20 a week provides food and essentials to a household for a week
We’re entirely community-run and rely on the generosity of local people to donate time, food and money. Every donation brings us closer to keeping our doors open.

We aim to:
• Promote social inclusion by supporting people who find themselves in a crisis situation where they need assistance to feed themselves and their families.
• Provide first tier support and advice where needed, so that people can access available welfare entitlements and other support services.
• Create opportunities for both guests and volunteers to broaden their skills and experiences so that we as a community develop and grow.
