“The truth about the unforgettable memory that I have of myself as a child moving along the streets of Mbale town in Uganda looking for what to eat and where to sleep with my fellow street children is of acting as a life of difficulty growing up. The constant hardship of survival in the streets made life worthless to live until one morning I got adopted by a single mother I now call mum. “Our family is of 12 members of which 8 are orphans, and amongst the orphans, one was born HIV positive. [We are] supported by the modest earnings of mum who sells second hand shoes in order to facilitate the family livelihood. After our failure to raise all the university tuition, I got a life-changing blessing from KEF that enabled me to complete my diploma level of education in Business Administration. After my completion of the diploma course, the university recognized me amongst the best students and offered me a discount upgrading to my Degree in Business Administration for 2 years instead of 3 due to my good performance. “Using my education, I intend to continue sensitizing other parents on the importance of education by being an example and help my community members be creative in life by using business skills to generate money to enable them to go to school.” Job is now applying for a full degree program.
