Finchale Outdoors is a veteran support group aimed at promoting mental and physical wellbeing in the outdoor environment. The activities are delivered free of charge and available to all ex-forces personnel (regular and reserve). Guided walks are available with varying degrees of difficulty and navigational training can be given as part of the day. Other activities include fishing, stargazing, eco activities. We aim to : Promote physical and mental well being through active and positive engagements with the outdoors environment. Build connections and encourage comradeship and teamwork Encourage new skills. Outcomes: Improved mood, Reduced feelings of stress and anger Improved physical health Heightened confidence and self esteem New friends and connections.
