Our project is to build a new centre of sporting and community excellence in Ashbourne by replacing the existing Pavilion with a new one. Plus, transfer the pitches and maintenance to the new sports and community partnership, managed by local people for the benefit of the community. The aim is to increase sports activity and community involvement through an inclusive approach to social engagement, health and fitness, learning and sporting excellence. We will encourage the youth and other residents of Ashbourne and neighbouring villages, who are not currently active in sport, to get engaged and participate. More importantly provide a hub for existing and new sports and youth clubs that is suitable in todays needs.
