Millions of children in South Africa lack access to quality early education, especially in underserved communities. Without quality education in the early years, children’s learning trajectory and income potential are stunted for life. Informal preschools often operate without support, training, or resources (despite their best efforts!). Grow ECD believes the solution lies in empowering women-led early learning centres with a full-service solution. This includes the tools, training, mentorship and resources they need to succeed. By investing in these grassroots educators, we can transform early education and uplift entire communities, for good. Grow ECD delivers its programmes through a holistic support model that is a full-service solution. We do this through an intensive 3-year training and development programme called the Small Business Programme. On graduation, centres remain an active part of our graduate network. We are the preschool's partner, helping them follow our step-by-step recipe for success. This includes 1. On-the-ground training and in-classroom mentorship 2. Business development and financial literacy mentorship 3. Physical resources such as beautiful classroom kit of over 340 educational materials 4. A mobile app that connects centres to professional management tools, resources and support 5. Compliance support to help them get registered and formalise 6. Access to low-cost finance to unlock investments in infrastructure 7. Partnerships with local government and NGOs This is a scalable model that combines Edtech and high-touch human support. Support a child to receive quality education ** £96 once off will ensure a child receives quality education for a year ** £8 a month will ensure a child gets a quality education every month Support a preschool ** £4.150 will support a preschool for a year ** £345 will support a preschool for 1 month (average of 43 children)
