The pandemic has rendered some migrant families redundant as some are not entitled to public funds so can not be enrolled on universal credit or any form of support. Some too have their applications at the Home office pending decision so have been laid off work due to the long wait. All the people have needs and children. We currently have five families we are using internally generated funds ton support but the number has increased which is above our budge. We have 15 families who have been referred to us but are on our waiting list as we do not have resources. We get new registration almost every week. The grant will help us expand our services to the families on our waiting list to give them relief items until they secure jobs.
