Project Details: Location: Doddayyuru, Narsarpura (outskirts of Bengaluru ) Area: 4 acres Plantation Technique: Miyawaki method of forest creation Timeline: 2 years (1month plantation + 2 years of maintenance) Project features: 1. The site is part of Karnataka forest department. 2. Plantation of 20,000 native trees, shrubs etc 3. Generating 10,000+ man days of livelihoods in a year 4. Enhancing wildlife ecology 5. Natural pathways THE PROPOSED SOLUTION In our initiative to protect and revive the Bengaluru’s environment we in association with Karnataka forest department are undertaking massive forest creation drives around Bengaluru region. The outskirts belt will serve as a buffer zone to protect the city’s climate while protecting local flora, fauna and recharging natural resources.
