Story of Rowtastic Not Plastic

Rowtastic Not Plastic take on the Meridian Pull for the AHOY Centre July 24th Take 6 colleagues from Thames Water, with very little rowing experience but lots of enthusiasm, throw them in a boat and you’ve got Team Rowtastic Not Plastic. When team captain, Sarah Ronan, found out about the support and opportunities that the AHOY Centre offer young disadvantaged and vulnerable people, she was inspired to gather together a like-minded crew willing to take on this fundraising challenge. Please visit ahoy.org.uk to see the inspiring work of the AHOY Centre. What we are doing: We will be rowing 8.5 nautical miles along the Thames from Chelsea Harbour to Greenwich on Wednesday 24 July 2019 - pitched by Sarah as a “little row along the river in the sunshine”! Meet the team: Sarah Ronan – Team Captain aka Mrs Motivator Harriet Allen – The only member of the crew that has ever rowed on water before Alice Keeping – The Kayaker who is used to paddling forwards Rebekah Kenyon – The more competitive one and only member of the team with a training plan Emily Burditt – “Don’t tell anyone but I’m quite scared of boats” Henry Badman – The one who will keep the team laughing no matter how tough it gets All donations to this worthwhile cause are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support, Team Rowtastic not Plastic
