Story

Hi everyone, I am running in the Vitality Big Half on March 1st to raise money for Ahoy! Ahoy! is a great charitable organization here in Greenwich that provides boating skills for disadvantaged, at risk youth and disabled adults. The kinds of skills the clients receive, apart from practical sailing, rowing and power-boating, are self-confidence, self-esteem, and team building. Participants also learn how to maintain the boats as the yard does its own maintenance. All in all a great charity that provides opportunity for kids and adults who would not otherwise get to experience these kinds of adventures and challenges. More information about AHOY can be found here (ahoy.org.uk — please take a look at the video they have posted... it's really inspiring). I hope you can join me in raising a few quid for this excellent foundation. Also... if by chance you are in the neighbourhood, drop by the Sail Loft on Monday February 24th at 6:30 for a charity Quiz Night to raise money for this event. We’ll have lots of fun and laughter and there will be some great give-aways. Hope to see you there!!!
