Story of Supporting Kunyanja Secondary School through Covid-19
Kunyanja Secondary School has been hugely affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic. Having had to close their doors for nearly 6 months, the school has now re-opened with strict social distancing regulations in place, and we have provided the school with the funds to buy new furniture to help them do this. With reduced income from fees as a result of the pandemic and Masambiro UK being unable to deliver it's regular yearly fundraising quiz, we're asking for your support to help us through this difficult year. The school has already undertaken, with the support of Masambiro, a massive health education campaign in the local community, delivering soap, washing buckets, and health education on how to prevent the spread of the virus to local villages and to teachers in surrounding schools. With your support we can ensure the school can deliver its normal activities and it can continue to play an important role in helping prevent the spread of the virus in the local community.
Masambiro was founded in 2005 to support education in the district of Nkhata Bay, Northern Malawi. Since 2005, Masambiro has partnered with and provided direct assistance to a wonderful Malawian team at Kunyanja Secondary School and provided education to over 5000 children and 1500 adults.See other opportunities to help us here.
