of £3,000.00 Target Goal

Francois KEBE a credit union activist based in Louga, North Senegal, West Africa, wishes to launch a very exciting project - the first French speaking Development Programme, initially in Senegal, but with the aim of spreading DE and credit unions throughout the African French speaking countries. Donations are needed to enable Kebe to attend the Asian DE programme to acquire the special skills and expertise this particular course offers, i.e. knowledge of practical individual advocacy and community mobilisation in new territories. About charity

ICULD&E Foundation

The ICULD&E Foundation is about “credit union leaders of today building those of tomorrow” The International Credit Union Leadership Development and Education Foundation (ICULD&E Foundation) provides financial assistance as course bursaries/assisted places to qualifying credit union activists to attend Credit Union Development Educator courses outside their homelands, as well as to those who come from areas of the world with nascent credit union systems. Over an intense 5/6 day period, undergraduate Development Educators receive a total immersion in credit union history, philosophy, corporate governance and operational activity; developing new and latent skills, inspiring them with practical cooperation and emphasising the value of their place in social economy and impact on society. The "good" news is a growing demand for bursaries from international credit union activists to attend Development Educator courses taking place worldwide. However, funds are diminishing fast and the "bad" news is a reduction on the number that can be granted and amounts given Bursaries can also be given to phenomenal individuals, who having qualified as DEs, are going to work on developing co-operative credit union systems where none currently exist.
