The Story
As part of my fundraising for the World Scout Jamboree, I will be running my first ever Ultra Marathon on Saturday the 6th of May. It’s a 50k run in the heart of the Welsh mountains. It will be an incredibly difficult run that will push me to my physical and mental limits.
I wanted to use this opportunity to raise more money for the fund that contributes towards the Jamboree for those that can’t afford to go. Since last year, when I ran my 19th half marathon I raised over £900 (including gift aid). I thought why not do another sponsored event? Especially such an epic one!

Background to the Jamboree:
I am attending the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea and am working hard to fundraise for this epic international adventure in global development. I need to raise £1,500 in order to attend and around two thirds of this is in order to support other poorer young people from across the globe to attend.
