The Story
At least ten Palestinians were killed and dozens injured during an Israeli military raid on Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank on Monday, July 3, 2023.

The Israeli army launched air attacks on the Jenin refugee camp on July 3, 2023, as part of its largest incursion into the West Bank in 20 years. Approximately 22,000 people live in the Jenin refugee camp, which is less than half a kilometer squared (0.42 km2) and densely populated (33,000/km2)
To date:
- At least 12 Palestinians have been killed
- More than 100 civilians were injured
- About 3,000 people fled their homes overnight, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
- Dozens of people were suffocated after tear gas was fired by the Israeli army towards a public hospital in Jenin where hundreds of children and elderly people seek shelter and treatment.
- According to WHO, first responders have been denied entry to the Jenin refugee camp to reach critically injured residents.
