Story of The Big Cambridge-Calais Sleepout 2020
Nobody should sleep outside in winter but many people have no choice. For the rough sleepers on the streets of Cambridge and the refugees in northern France who sleep on waste land around Calais and Dunkirk, homelessness is not their fault. They may be in this situation because they have lost their job, have family or health problems, have fled persecution, or because their home in Syria or Kurdistan was destroyed by bombs. They all face the same struggles, conditions and stigmatisation. Help us support these people by supporting our sponsored sleepout at St Giles' Church on the corner of Castle Hill, on 15th February.. We will use the proceeds from the event to support CamCRAG's convoys to Northern France, the Cambridge Churches Homeless Project (CCHP), and groups supporting women who experience homelessness.
