The Story
Investing in supporting a student become sustainable through the Sponsor a Student Scheme. We all sometimes need a little support, and we invite you to partner with us and change the life of one student.
For only £25 per month, you will ensure that the basic needs of a student to attend the school are met for the period Jan – Dec 2024.
If your budget is less, it is also possible to choose the £12.50 per month (£150 per year) option, and jointly contribute to a student with another well-wisher.
The scheme includes:
• Teaching of core subject (Carpentry, Catering, Hairdressing, Bricklaying or Tailoring)
• Exercise books and writing material
• A meal a day
• Printing of award certificate
• Use of text books, tools and equipment of the school
• Use of consumable materials for purpose of practice (wood, cloth, sand, cement etc....)
• Department of Industrial Training (DIT) examination registration fee
•Career guidance and entrepreneurship training
• Extracurricular activities:
• Career guidance
• Entrepreneurship training
• Music dance and drama
• Psychosocial support
• Taekwondo
• Meditation
• Debating club
• Character building classes
• English and mathematics
In return for your sponsorship, you will receive:
• A personalized profile and handwritten letter of thanks from your student
• 6-month update on the progress of your student
Donating through Gift Aid means Auro Foundation can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give.
We know that your hard-earned money should be respected and we are extremely careful around how we manage our donations. Records are kept impeccably and a number of checks and balances are in place to ensure the appropriate use of donated money and we go to great lengths to ensure that we gain value of money.

Your donation is managed and monitored by CAREducation Trust - a UK registered charity which supports Auro Foundation and its project in Uganda.
Auro Foundation is a non-profit organization that is committed to providing young adults the opportunity to learn practical skills to become self-sufficient. Auro Foundation operates a vocational technical institute in a rural part of eastern Uganda. We serve 300 students, teaching carpentry, hairdressing, bricklaying, catering and tailoring skills.
Our commitment is that our students receive the love, guidance and nurturing that will empower them to live meaningful, happy and responsible lives. Our focus is on teaching our students practical skills that will support them with sustainability. We support our students with placement schemes, internship programs and introduce our students to prospective employees so that they can obtain meaningful employment or start their own business.
